Other things to consider
Changes to your premium
There are several factors that will affect the cost of your insurance premium when you first take out your pet insurance policy. These include:
-
Age: younger pets typically have lower premiums.
-
Breed: certain breeds are more prone to specific health conditions, which can affect the cost.
-
Location: vet costs can vary by region.
-
Coverage level: higher coverage plans naturally come with a higher premium.
Your limit will be reinstated each year, as long as you renew your policy and there’s no break in cover. ManyPets may choose not to renew a policy, if they do, they will let you know in advance of your renewal date.
Understanding insurance excess
An excess is the contribution you must pay when making a claim on your insurance policy, and it's a common feature in most plans, including ManyPets.
While excesses can be inconvenient, they help insurers maintain profitability, allowing them to provide quality coverage and service. If you’re unsure of your excess amount, you can find it in your policy document in My Account. When you make a successful claim, ManyPets will deduct the excess from your payout, and your vet will handle any remaining balance directly with you.
