Velosure covers all types of cycles with a few exceptions. They don't cover:

  • ePeds, iped or cycles of similar specification
  • Velomobiles, Streamliners or Dutch Cargo bikes
  • Cycles used for carrying more than one passenger (excludes purpose built passenger carrying trailers and tandems)

The excess you pay will depend on the type of claim you have:

  • For public liability claims the excess is £500.
  • If you have a road rage claim the excess is £25.
  • For theft or accidental damage claims, the excess is 5% of your cycle value, with a minimum of £50 and a maximum of £200.

Yes. Your bicycle is covered worldwide for up to 90 days per trip. Please note, Velosure does not cover you for public liability in USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand.
